The man-made lakes

In the summer time I like to go to the made man-made lakes which are situated a 10 minute walk from Nørreport Station. It is lovely to sit on the grass or benches and have a drink with friends. I often like to go to GAO dumpling bar , where I get my dumplings takeaway and eat them on the benches overlooking the lakes and the buildings of Copenhagen while the sun goes down.

If I’m feeling adventurous I like to rent a paddle boat which is shaped like a swan and paddle around the lakes. This way you can sit and soak up the sun while getting a little exercise.

In winter time if the lakes have frozen, then you can walk on the ice which makes for a perfect Instagram shot.

Absolon Church

Is an old church a 25 minute walk from the hotel, where they have common eating. I love going here with friends because its delious homemade food, it only costs 50 DKK per person and you don’t have to make a reservation you just show up from 5PM-6PM to buy food tickets. It is always a good idea to come a bit early, to make sure you get a spot. In the winter it is held inside where you sit at long tables, which also gives you the option to socialize with others, in the summer you are able to sit outside.
